Brookfield's Select Board voted to let town boards offer remote meeting access at their own discretion. A member moved the policy after a resident asked to attend a Conservation Commission meeting remotely; it passed on a roll call vote with board member Beth L. Coughlin's "aye" on record. Conservation Commission Chair Steve Garman said his commission already hosts Teams meetings for remote members, calling it "a good way to start this transition." The board separately approved, 2-0, a National Grid request to install stub pole 5-84 on Molasses Hill Road, with representative Leonard Martinez presenting the request.
The board also approved, 2-0, a town hall rental request and discussed unresolved items including town administrator goals, a pending draft budget, and office space for a planned all-boards clerk.
